According to real-time data from the Forbes Billionaires List, as of 3:30 PM Eastern Time on Wednesday, the world's richest person's net worth has reached 50 billion USD. In December last year, Musk became the first billionaire to exceed 40 billion USD. Now, his net worth is 1.5 billion USD higher than Larry Ellison, who ranks second, and he has completed half the journey towards becoming the world's first trillionaire.
On Wednesday, Tesla's stock price rose nearly 4%, adding about 9.3 billion USD to Musk's wealth, as investors continue to favor Musk focusing on Tesla's affairs again. With Tesla's market capitalization rebounding to within 10% of the historical high it set in December last year, Musk's 12% stake in Tesla is now worth 191 billion USD.
