ChainThink news, December 19: According to The Block, Ethereum developers have named their next upgrade after Glamsterdam as "Hegota," integrating the execution-layer Bogota upgrade and the consensus-layer Heze upgrade. The Bogota upgrade continues the tradition of naming updates after cities hosting Devcon, while Heze is named after a star. The primary EIPs for Hegota are expected to be finalized in February, while development work on Glamsterdam (Ethereum's first planned upgrade in 2026) is ongoing.
