ChainThink News, December 11: The Gelephu Mindfulness City Authority (GMCA) announced on December 11 that Matrixport’s RWA platform, Matrixdock, has been appointed as the core tokenization technology partner for the upcoming gold-backed token TER. Matrixdock will be responsible for building the underlying tokenization infrastructure for TER, leveraging its technical expertise in gold tokenization and institutional-grade RWA infrastructure to support GMCA in establishing a verifiable, transparent, and digitally-first financial ecosystem.

With this collaboration now underway, Matrixdock becomes one of the earliest global technology providers to enter a national-level RWA scenario. The pilot of a sovereign gold-backed stablecoin not only lays the foundational stone for Bhutan’s digital financial architecture but also holds potential to become an industry-standard benchmark. In the context of emerging national RWA projects, such pilots are expected to profoundly influence market foundational norms, technological pathways, and governance models, offering the sector a new source of "pricing framework."
