ChainThink news, December 9: According to The Block, Horizen's Layer 3 network has been officially launched on Base, marking the latest milestone in the evolution of this historically significant privacy-focused blockchain network.

Although this Tuesday's launch coincides with renewed interest in "privacy coins," Horizen had already initiated its transition from Layer 1 to Layer 3 back in February of this year, following a DAO decision to gradually phase out the legacy chain.
