ChainThink reports: Last month, the monthly active users of the NFT marketplace OpenSea reached the highest level since mid-2023. According to Dune Analytics data, the platform had 467,322 users who made at least one transaction in May, a number comparable to the levels between mid-2022 and early 2023. The number of active users in June may be similar or even higher than in May, with the current figure reaching 236,091. Although user interest in OpenSea has rebounded, the monthly trading volume of this NFT platform is still far below the levels before the NFT market downturn in 2021 and early 2022. Although the trading volume last month was $81 million, the peak in January 2022 reached over $5 billion. The surge in active users may be attributed to the official launch of OS2 on May 29th, as well as expectations of potential rewards. This beta version was only open to Gemesis NFT holders (94,757 NFT collections created by OpenSea in April 2023) and focused on testing new features.
