View OriginalChainThink reports: The Hong Kong Securities and Futures Commission (SFC) has officially announced that there is an increasing trend of phishing scams involving fake licensed corporations sending deceptive SMS messages. Scammers trick customers into clicking on hyperlinks within mobile text messages, which redirect them to websites that resemble the official websites of licensed corporations. Once redirected, the scammers intercept customers' usernames, login passwords, and authentication information, allowing them to access customers' accounts with unauthorized transactions. Therefore, the SFC has issued guidance to licensed corporations to prevent unauthorized transactions in customer accounts. If users have disclosed their account login details to unverified websites or have discovered unauthorized transactions on their accounts, they should contact their licensed corporation as soon as possible and report the incident to the police.
